Die Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) hat einen neuen Vorstand
Die Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) hat am 21.1.2021 einen neuen Vorstand gewählt. Der bisherige langjährige Präsident, Konstantin Essler, der seit der Gründung der ABAA als Präsident fungierte, steht aus zeitlichen Gründen in dieser Funktion nicht mehr zur Verfügung.
Die Mitglieder der ABAA haben nun den Vorstand zur Gänze neu aufgestellt: Die Präsidentschaft übernimmt ab sofort Antonia Gilbert von der Jet Aviation. Die neue Präsidentin wird im Vorstand von acht weiteren Vorstandsmitgliedern unterstützt. Der neue Vorstand setzt sich aus folgenden Personen zusammen:
Antonia Gilbert ist seit mehr als 12 Jahren in verschiedenen Positionen in der Business Aviation tätig und hat dabei unterschiedliche Blickwinkel der Branche kennengelernt. Nach ihrem Bachelor-Abschluss begann sie als Sales Representative bei der Jetalliance zu arbeiten und setzte dann ihre Karriere bei Global Jet Concept in Genf fort. 2015 wechselte Antonia in den Verkauf von Flugzeugwartungs- und FBO-Dienstleistungen bei Jet Aviation. Ab dem 1. März 2021 ist sie Teil des Gulfstream MRO Customer Sales Support Teams.
In ihrem ersten Statement hält Antonia Gilbert Folgendes fest:
„Ich bedanke mich bei den Mitgliedern der ABAA für ihr Vertrauen. Herzlichen Dank auch an Konstantin Essler für seine engagierte Tätigkeit in der Vergangenheit. Ich freue mich auf die Zusammenarbeit in dem neuen und erweiterten Vorstand. Mit voller Energie werde ich in den nächsten Tagen gleich die ersten Projekte starten. Dazu zählen eine Mitglieder-Befragung, eine Verbesserung des Services für unsere Mitglieder durch eine Anpassung der Website sowie eine Kommunikationsinitiative in Richtung relevanter Stakeholder“.
Auch die European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) freut sich über die jüngsten Entwicklungen bei der ABAA in Österreich. Robert Baltus, Chief Operating Officer, gratuliert im Namen der EBAA aus Brüssel:
„We would like to congratulate ABAA on the election of their new board and president. Given the many challenges facing Business aviation in this period, it is more important than ever for Business aviation associations to work together for the benefit of members. ABAA has been a valued partner for the EBAA since its foundation, and we look forward to continuing our close relationship.“
Ebenso freuen sich die Kollegen der German Business Aviation Association e.V. (GBAA) auf die zukünftige Zusammenarbeit:
“We are very pleased that Antonia has been elected as president of the Austrian Business Aviation Association and that we will continue our long-standing cooperation with the ABAA. The manifold topics on the European level have to be solved together. Additionally, we are pleased that Antonia is increasing the diversity among Business Aviation Association leaders - we wish her all the best.”
The Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) and its new board
On January 21st, 2021, the Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) has elected its new board. Previous president Konstantin Essler, who is a one of the founding members of the association, has declared that he would like to withdraw from his position due to time constraints.
The statutes of the association have been modernized and a new team of the board was set up. Antonia Gilbert will be serving as president and is being supported by 8 further members of the board. The new executive board is composed of the following persons:
Antonia Gilbert has spent more than 12 years in various positions within business aviation touching different angles of the industry. After finishing her Bachelor’s degree she started working as a Sales representative at Jetalliance in Austria and then continued her career at Global Jet Concept in Geneva, Switzerland. 2015 Antonia decided to sell aircraft maintenance & FBO services for Jet Aviation. Since 1st of March 2021 she is part of the Gulfstream MRO Customer Sales Support Team.
In her first statement Antonia reveals:
“I am thankful for the trust given to me by all ABAA members and I am grateful for Konstantin and his to the association’s development over the past years. I am looking forward to working together with our new, extended board team. I am full of energy and will already start working on a few projects that the board team and I have in mind: a member survey, website upgrade to enhance benefits of our members and an initiative to improve communication and create synergies among our members.”
